Here you will find information about my work and interests. Since 1988, I have been working on reverse-engineering the auditory pathway in the brain, making movies of our complex neural representations, and building new computing devices that model the human hearing system in real-time. This work has become the basis for Audience, Inc., a company that I founded in the year 2000. In my interests, you will see a fascination with new technologies that allow an individual to affordably tackle projects that, only ten years ago, would have been prohibitively expensive and time-consuming. Now, for only a few thousand dollars, we can design a chip, safely learn to fly, make a TV show, produce a music CD, publish a book, and communicate a message to the world. The next ten years promise to empower us in even more amazing ways. I hope you enjoy your look around!
